All over the world, people over 60 are the fastest growing age group, and the number of older people who are no longer able to look after themselves is forecasted to quadruple by 2050. This is especially true in the Southeastern states, where mild climate and lower costs of living bring many for their post-retirement years. As they lose their ability to live independently because of physical or mental changes, elders and their families need guidance navigating care needs and finding resources. This is what Aging Life Care Professionals® or geriatric care managers do best.
The Southeast Chapter of the Aging Life Care Association® (formerly National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers) serves clients on a fee-for-service basis throughout the Southeastern United States including, Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee.
Knowing where to turn can have an enormous impact on improving the independence and active living of the senior adult. To maximize health, happiness, and security, it is important to have professional support. Please visit the chapter unit page for more information on Aging Life Care™ and to Find an Aging Life Care Expert in your area.
